PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the Respondent in Proceedings No.61/PJNCA/E1/Estt./Teaching Staff/CAS/2015 dated 01.04.2015 embodying the Career Advancement Scheme to quash the same as being illegal and unsustainable in law and for a consequential direction to the respondent to issue a fresh Career Advancement Scheme in accordance with UGC norms and to consider the petitioner in accordance with the same.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was submitted by the

learned counsel for the petitioner that the matter may be closed leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge any individual promotion order if he is

aggrieved. She has also made an endorsement to that effect:

“The writ petition challenges the circular pursuant to which CAS promotions are made. Since many years have passed and there are many persons promoted under the impugned circular, the petitioner may not be in a position to implead each of them. As such, the writ petition may be closed leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge any individual promotion order if he is aggrieved.”

Recording the submission and the endorsement made by the

learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition stands closed leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge any individual promotion order, if he is aggrieved. No costs. The impleading petition in W.M.P.No.24201
