The petitioner being aggrieved by freezing his entire account for

receiving Rs.1,32,000/- from the fourth respondent for the computer appliances supply is before this Court for direction to defreeze the account.

The respondent police has filed status report stating that on the

complaint given by one Annapoorani who is the victim of on-line fraud

¶26

by the group called LHA-Lord&HDFC Investment Advisor, the

respondent police initially has issued communication to the petitioners bank to defreeze the petitioner's account and marked lien. Later, in the course of the investigation, it was found that only a sum of Rs.1,32,000/of the tainted money been deposited in the account of the petitioner. The bank has been communicated to create lien to an extent of Rs.1,31,100/in the petitioner's bank Account bearing No.0778651100000550 and the said communication was issued to the petitioner's bank on 19.10.2024 through mail.

Taking note of the fact that the investigation has now zero down only to the extent of Rs.1,32,000/- deposited in the above account of the petitioner and intimation to the bank been sent by Investigating Officer to create lien only to the extent of Rs.1,32,000/-, it is appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with direction to the Bank to permit the petitioner herein to operate the account restricting to an extent of Rs.1,32,000/- in the account No. 0778651100000550 and permit the petitioner to operate this account with the above restrictions and his other accounts without any restriction.

Accordingly, Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
