Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records pertaining to the impugned order of the 2nd respondent dated 21.08.2024 in No.1835/THAKU.2/2024 and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to grant emergency leave for 15 days without escort to the petitioners son Sathish, S/o. Samuthirapandi (Late), LCT No.5128, serving life sentence at Palayamkottai Central Prison.
ORDER:- This Writ Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.Narayanan, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, Addititional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, and reading the earlier order dated 01.10.2024, this Court made the following order:
This petition has been filed seeking extension of emergency leave, which had
been granted by this Court for a period of six days from 09.10.2024 to 15.10.2024.
4 . The period of leave would commence from 31.10.2024 to 02.11.2024 effective from 2.30 pm., on 30.10.2024 till 2.30 p.m.,on 03.11.2024. During the said
period the convict prisoner shall report before the Thirukkurungudi Police Station, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Eruvadi Circle, Tirunelveli District at 10.30 am., every day.
