This Criminal Original Petition filed, under Section 528 of BNSS., seeking orders, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioners within the time stipulated by this Court.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioners are husband and wife; that the fourth respondent is the daughter of the second petitioner and that there existed civil dispute between the parties. He would further submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the first petitioner, three FIRs came to be registered against the fourth respondent and others in Crime No.371 of 2022; Crime No.48 of 2023 and Crime No.72 of 2024 and after completing the investigation, charge sheet came to be filed with regard to the case in Crime Nos.371 of 2022, Crime No.72 of 2024 and that the case in Crime No.48 of 2023 is pending.

It is seen from the records that the first petitioner has earlier filed a petition before this Court, seeking police protection in Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 3350 of 2023 and this Court vide order, dated 21.02.2023, directed the

petitioner to give fresh representation to the third respondent and on receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders.

It is not known as to whether any order has been passed by the third respondent in pursuance of the directions of this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the present compliant is pending before the first respondent, the first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
