The present application is filed by the sole defendant to condone
the delay of 73 days in filing the written statement in the present suit and to take the written statement on file.
- Though the respondent/plaintiff has no serious objections for allowing this application, the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit is not satisfactory. However, in order to give an opportunity to the applicant/defendant, the delay is condoned subject to payment of cost of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only). The applicant/defendant is directed to pay the said cost to the credit of Advocate Clerk's Welfare Association, High Court, Chennai on or before 19.07.2024.
