PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, to set aside the order of frequent adjournments of the case in O.P.No.81 of 2022 on the file of the Principal District Judge, Dindigul and lastly adjourned to 25.08.2023 and direct the learned Principal District Judge, Dindigul to dispose of the Election Petition in O.P.No.81 of 2022 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

The Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the petition in Election O.P.No.81 of 2022, pending on the file of the Principal District Court, Dindigul, within a specified time fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the

above petition was taken on file 20.06.2022, the same is pending for filing of the counter by some of the respondents till now.

As per Section 258(6) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act 1994, the

election petition has to be disposed of within six months.

Hence, the learned Principal District Judge, is hereby directed to

proceed with the enquiry and dispose of the Election Original petition, as stipulated under Section 258(6) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act.

With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of.
