For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.1 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :-

The petitioners/A1 to A5, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 406, 506(i) IPC in Crime No.1 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant got married the first accused on 31.08.2017 and got divorce on 05.04.2021. During the marriage, the parents of the defacto https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis complainant had presented 5 ½ sovereigns of gold jewels and ¼

sovereign of gold coin i.e., 5 ¾ gold sovereigns and a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the first accused. When the defacto complainant asked to return the same, the accused persons abused and threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, the case.

3.On 03.03.2023, this Court granted interim anticipatory bail to the petitioners on condition that all the jewels have to handover to the defacto complainant within three months.

4.As per direction of this Court, the petitioners handed over jewels today before this Court and the same are duly received by the defacto complainant subject to the genuinity and weight.

5.Considering the above, the interim anticipatory bail already granted on 03.03.2023, is hereby made absolute.
