ORDER
This contempt petition has been filed to punish the
respondents for disobeying the order of this Court dated
29.08.2022 in WP No.14498 of 2022.

“10. Considering the fact that permits of the respective vehicles have lapsed and considering the fact that the tax been assessed as “ Nil” from 01.04.2021 to 30.09.2021, the question of forcing the petitioner to pay the tax for the period from 01.10.2021 to 31.12.2021 or thereafter does not arise.
11. Considering the same, I am inclined to allow this writ petition. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to issue suitable direction to the second respondent to cancel the tax endorsement in the Registration Certificates of the respective vehicles bearing Registration Nos.TN69AH 3335 and TN69AH 3555, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order”.
4. Further, it is submitted that, this Hon'ble Court has ordered for reporting compliance on 27.04.2023.
5. In compliance with the said order of the Hon'ble Court, it is submitted that, the tax in respect of the vehicles TN69AH 335 and TN66AH 3555 has been Nil assessed and the clearance certificate has been issued vide proceedings of State Transport Authority, Chepauk, Chennai in R.No.24551/A3/2022 dated 26.04.2023.
