PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the second respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.50/2012/A2 dated 25.09.2012 and quash as the same as illegal and consequently forbear the respondents from in any way preventing the petitioner or its reporters from gathering news from the third respondent Municipality and publishing the same in the web site of the petitiner's namely "www.kayalpatnam.com".

The present writ petition has been filed challenging an order passed by the Commissioner Municipality, under which the petitioner’s request for attending the council meetings and collect news as a Journalist was rejected.

The order of rejection has been passed on the ground that he has

not produced any license for the registration of his magazine or that he is a Journalist. The impugned order further states that on production of the license of his journal, the same will be placed before the council and the matter would be reconsidered.

This impugned order has been passed in the year 2012. It is not known whether the petitioner has produced the license of his magazine to gain entry into the municipal council meetings. In case, if the petitioner produces such license before the second respondent herein, the same shall be placed before the council and the council is at liberty to decide either to allow the petitioner or not into the council meetings.

With the abovesaid observations, this Writ Petition is disposed

of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are

closed.
