Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the demand letter dated 28.01.2022 issued by the Assistant Engineer, O&M/CED/South, TANGEDCO, Pallikaranai, 4^th respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to restore the electricity supply to Electricity Service Connection No.09/312/103/108 and No.09/312/103/110.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that being a billing dispute, the petitioner is unable to comply with the conditional order dated 16.03.2022 passed by this Court. The learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner may be granted the liberty to file a statutory appeal, as against the impugned order.

After recording the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the petitioner to approach the Statutory Appellate Authority, as against the impugned order. However, it is made clear that since the conditional order has not been complied with, the electricity service connection directed to be restored on payment of the said sum, shall stand cancelled. The Registry is directed to return the impugned order to the learned counsel for the petitioner, to enable the petitioner to file the statutory appeal. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
