2.According to petitioner, the Arulmigu Gajahatti Sri Aadhi Karuvannarayar Bomma Deviyar Temple is a lineage / family God of Uppiliya naicker community. The said temple is situated at Gajahatti, Pudhupirkadavu Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District. The Uppiliya naicker community people are regularly conducting poojas, celebrating festivals and performing special poojas as per Hindu rights and custom of Uppiliya naicker community. The affairs of the temple were managed by the senior members of the community and all the above festivals were conducted as per their customs. The administrative committee was formed by the senior members of the Uppiliya naicker community during the year 1989. The said committee administered all the management of the temple. Due to death of some senior members, disputes were arose in managing the temple and organizing the festivals. Hence, in the year 2015, the 2nd respondent was appointed to manage the temple and to conduct the festivals of the said temple. According to petitioner, thereafter the Maasi Magam festival has been organized and conducted by the 2nd respondent, but their community customs and rituals were not followed. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 13.01.2022 to the respondents to give permission to the petitioner along with his community people to jointly celebrate the Maasi Magam festival as per Uppiliya naicker community custom. Since, no order is passed on the said representation, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
