Mr.S.Silambannan, learned Additional Advocate General would
submit that steps have been taken to designate an extent of 0.46.00 hectares that was classified as Kalam poromboke and as a burial ground cum gassifier cremetorium for disposal of the dead. Since a re-classification is required, the District Collector has been addressed in that regard. The revenue records have also been altered showing this as a burial ground and a gassifier cremetorium. It is seen that steps have been taken to clear the land and maintain it as a burial ground.
2.In view of the steps so taken, which would amount to substantial compliance with the order of this Court, this Contempt Petition is closed.
