PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to mutate the revenue records in favour of the petitioner trust in respect of lands in survey Nos.139/1A, 139/C and 139/E situated in Samuthirapatti Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District as per the proceedings in R.Dis.562/G/42, dated 30.05.1943 issued by the than District Collector, Madurai, within the time limit fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner had given an application to the respondent for effecting mutation in respect of the petition mentioned lands. It is seen from the communication enclosed at Page No.14 of the typed set of papers that the process had already commenced. All that the petitioner wants is that the process should be directed to be concluded on merits and in accordance with law within a period to be stipulated by this Court.

concluded. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the respondent to pass order one way or other.
