PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and in pursuance of acknowledgment given by the e-sevai maiyam dated 24.02.2021 for granting of natham patta for the petitioner's property situated at Door No.2/76-A, Thulukkanathamman Koil Street, Chemmancherry, Sholinganallur Taluk and Post, Chennai-600 119.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2021 and to grant natham patta for the petitioner's property situated at Sholinganallur, Chennai.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he was in possession and enjoyment of the property in Survey No.68 at Chemmancherry Village, Door No.2/75-A, Thulukkanathamman Koil Street, Chemmanchery, Sholinganallur Post, Chennai-119 admeasuring 4.5 cents and he has submitted a representation to the 2^nd respondent on 12.01.2021 seeking for issuance of natham patta for his property, but so far, his representation was not considered and it was not disposed of. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

I have heard and considered the submissions made by learned counsel appearing for petitioner as well as learned Government Advocate and perused the records carefully.

Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2 nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and to pass suitable orders on merits after giving opportunity to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
