By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2020 seeking for registration of a Sale Deed in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property bearing Plot No.107, Survey No.381, Khanu Nagar, K.K.Nagar, Chennai - 78.

According to the petitioner, the aforementioned property was allotted to his mother, Mary by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board. According to him, his mother has paid the

entire sale consideration. It is the case of the petitioner that after the death of his parents, he is the only legal heir of the deceased Mary. In such circumstances, he has given representation on 23.12.2020 to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking for registration of a Sale Deed in his favour for the property allotted in the name of his deceased mother.

Upon instructions, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner produces the legal heirship certificate, the respondents are willing to consider his representation dated 23.12.2020 seeking for registration of the Sale Deed for the aforementioned property in his favour.

The learned counsel for the petitioner also submits, on instructions, that the petitioner is willing to produce the legal heirship certificate as sought for by the respondents.

After recording the submissions of the respective learned counsels, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2020 seeking for registration of the sale deed in his name in respect of the property bearing Plot No.107, Survey No.381, Khanu Nagar, K.K.Nagar, Chennai - 78 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
