The Writ Petition is directed against the order of rejection dated 02.02.2021 passed by the first respondent and also for a consequential direction to renew the pistol licence to the petitioner.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

¶16

Against the order of rejection, there is an appeal
provision before the Government, which has also been set out
in the very impugned order itself. Instead of going for an
appeal, the petitioner has moved this Court seeking for a Writ
of Mandamus. Therefore, the Writ Petition is rejected. It is
open to the petitioner to prefer an appeal before the
Government. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous
petition is closed.
