Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent, viz., the Secretary General, School Games Federation of India (SGFI) to conduct Tournaments to popularise the game of Silambam through the Indian Silambam Federation with its Rules Regulations framed by the Tamil Nadu Silambattam Association, which was recognised by Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) and Tamil Nadu Olympic Association (TNOA) and Tamil Nadu School Education Department instead of All India Silambattam Federation / Amateur Silambam Federation of India, the seventh respondent to popularise the game in the very same name of Silambam with different Rules in the 61st National School Games for the year 2015-16 as far as the Silambattam / Silambam is concerned for the purpose of recognising the Silambam as National Level.
