JUDGMENT

Challenging the order passed in W.P.No.21039 of 2010, the writ petitioners have filed the above writ appeal.
2.The petitioners have filed the writ petition to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent 1 and 2 to restore the seniority on the basis of ranking given by the Police Training College in respect of the writ petitioners who were directly recruited Sub-Inspector of Police in 1979 batch in view of the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.Nos.38792 and 38793 of 2003 dated 10.09.2007.
3.The learned Single Judge disposed of the writ petition by giving a direction to the Government to pass orders with regard to the seniority of the petitioners as well as the respondents in accordance with law.
4.When the writ appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the appellants submitted that all the appellants have already attained the age of superannuation, hence nothing survives for adjudication in this writ appeal.
5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the appellants, the writ appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
