Prayer Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, prayed to set aside the dismissal order in Crl.M.P.No.619 of 2017 on the file of the XVI Metropolita Magistrate, George Town, Chennai vide order dated 16.03.2017 and to direct the learned Magistrate to take cognizance of the offences and proceed against the accused in accordance in law.
ORDER
When the matter was listed on 08.06.2017, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, therefore, the matter was adjourned by two weeks. After that, the matter was listed only on 28.10.2021, on which date also none appeared for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court directed the registry to list the case on 02.11.2021 under the caption "for dismissal.
2.Today, i.e on 02.11.2021, when the matter is called, none appeared for the petitioner, which shows the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
