Prayer in W.P.No.5210 of 2014: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take an appropriate departmental action against the 3rd respondent for having conducted Katta Panchayat by him in the police station by misusing his police power and swindled and enriched himself a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- and torn the cheque which was meant to be paid to the petitioner by the 4th respondent, with a direction to recover the said amount of a sum of Rs.1,50,000/from 3rd respondent and hand over the same to the petitioner.
Prayer in W.P.No.5211 of 2014: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 3 to impound the passport of 4th respondent bearing Pass Port No.J3471805 and bring back the 4th respondent to the home town for the purpose of investigation in Crime No.228 of 2013 pending on the file of the 3rd respondent.

These matters are listed under the caption “for dismissal” today i.e. on 07.01.2020. There is no representation on the side of the petitioner. Even on the last hearing i.e., on 03.01.2020, when the matter was listed under the caption “for dismissal”, only at the request of the

learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter was adjourned to today i.e. 07.01.2020. It can now be inferred that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting these writ petitions. Accordingly, these writ petitions are dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
