The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1^st respondent to direct the 2^nd respondent to issue separate patta to the landed property measuring an extent of 3½ cents in Survey Nos. 27/5 and 28/1 of Kandasamy Layout, Poonthottam Village, Villupuram Taluk, Villupuram District bearing Plot Nos. 92 to 95, Block No.81, Ward A, 1^st Street, Kandasamy Layout, Villupuram Town as per the Oral Hiba dated 20.01.2001 and Notorised Hiba dated 07.05.2001 issued in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2014 for the issuance of separate patta to the said land.

It is the case of the petitioner that though he has given a representation as early as on 10.01.2014, the 2^nd respondent has not passed any order sofar.

Ms.A.Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2^nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2014 in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2014 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
