ORDER (Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice)
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleaders for the respondents. 2.Learned Government counsels have placed before us G.O. (D) No.69, Environment and Forests (FR.5) Department, dated 20.05.2020 and G.O.No.81, Environment and Forests (FR.5) Department, dated 04.06.2020, whereby the period of culling of wild boars that are causing destruction to the crops in the agricultural fields has been issued and has been extended to 11 forest divisions.
3.Having perused the said Government Orders, we are satisfied that appropriate steps have been taken by the Government and we expect that this project undertaken by the Government will be continued in order to preserve the agricultural fields, wherever such problem erupts by taking appropriate steps for culling of wild boars who are capable of destroying crops in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
