This case is taken up through video conference.
report dated 23.10.2020, a reading of which, is indeed very sordid. In the report, she has stated that the Head Clerk and the Assistant of the said Court, along with another person, had committed theft of several items from the property room of the Court, including the two ammunitions and bullets, which are the subject matter in this case, way back in the year 2009. In this regard, a case in Tiruvallur Town P.S. Crime No.210 of 2009 was registered and subsequently, the case was transferred to the file of the CB-CID, Thiruvallur. The CB-CID were able to recover about 33 items of properties,
but, were not able to recover 45 items, which include the two ammunitions and bullets involved in this case.
Tiruvallur, has submitted that the CB-CID have completed the investigation
and filed charge sheet in C.C.No.126 of 2012 before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thiruvallur and the case is pending till date.

Inspector General, CRPF, Avadi and the Superintendent of Police,
Thiruvallur, by video conference and exhorted them to work in tandem to trace the whereabouts of the accused in the case, viz ., the murder case, in which, a CRPF Constable opened fire on civilians. Unfortunately, the police
have not been able to secure the accused till date. Yet another disquieting
fact is that, it is not known as to how many cases had ended in acquittal for want of materials objects involved in the theft that had gone missing from the property room of the Court of Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruvallur.

apprised of him all these facts. Of course, this Court cannot expect the Director General of Police to have a readymade answer, because, admittedly
he is not aware of these happenings.
