This petition has been filed to extend the time to finish sureties as stipulated in Crl.O.P.No.8246 of 2020 dated 11.06.2020 within a period of 15days from the date of receipt of copy of the same.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in due compliance of the order, the petitioner is paid a sum of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) to the Tamil Nadu Advocate Clerks Association, High Court of Madras, Chennai, however, due to Covid situation the Courts were closed and thereby the petitioner was unable to surrender before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chengalpattu, and execute sureties within the time stipulated by this Court. Hence, he seeks for extension of time.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is ordered and fifteen days is extended to the petitioner to surrender and execute the sureties as ordered by this Court, from the date on which the order copy made ready. Failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand automatically dismissed.
