ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by Mr.A.Lingadurai seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to provide new domestic electricity service connection in respect of the petitioner's property at No.302, Karumariamman Koil Street, Melakottaiyur, Kanchipuram District, as sought for in the petitioner's application dated 25.05.2018.
has been paying the property tax in respect of the property to the First Grade Panchayat, Melakottaiyur from the year 2016. On the basis of the property tax receipts showing his possession, he has applied for domestic electricity service connection to the second respondent on 25.5.2018 along with the documents supporting his possession over the property. Although the respondents had effected the electricity service connection to the petitioner's present property, this was subsequently disconnected due to the default committed by the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation on 25.5.2018 to provide new domestic electricity service connection in respect of the same property at No.302, Karumariamman Koil Street, Melakottaiyur. But till date, they have not come forward to provide the service connection. Hence, the petitioner has come to this Court with the present writ petition.
