This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent for illegally quarrying gravel and removing the sand from 'Inam lands' comprised in Survey No.28, Mo.Vannanjur Village, belonging to sakthi Mariamman Temple, MO.Vananjur, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District, as well as in the 'Komugi' river bed, Vananjur, Sankaarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District. In this regard the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 25.12.2018 to the respondents. Despite the said representation, which was made in December 2018, no orders have been passed by the official respondents. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking issue of mandamus.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that a direction may be issued to R1 to take action in response to the representation said to have been submitted by the petitioner. 3.Since the prayer in the writ petition is limited in its scope, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent or any other competent authority to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 25.12.2018, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
