PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2^nd respondent herein to appoint the petitioner as the Dealer for the petrol bunk at Theagaraya Road (Opposite to Nagesh Theatre), T.Nagar, Chennai-17 based on the Selection conducted by the then Dealer Selection Board on 22.11.2000 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the 1^st respondent.

In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, the present Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. However, it is open to the petitioner to make necessary application before the 2^nd respondent seeking for allotment of any retail dealership owned by the 2^nd respondent company. If any such application is filed, the 2^nd respondent is directed to consider the same
