This petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1^st respondent to release the Vehicle, Tata Ace, bearing registration No.TN-31-AV-4574 seized by the Sub Inspector of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Cuddalore, Cuddalore District on 17.06.2019.

Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents stated that the 1^st respondent namely, the District Revenue Officer, Cuddalore, has passed a considered order on 06.12.2019 in Na.Ka.No.K5/22445/2019, whereby, he has fixed the amount for release of the vehicle bearing registration No. TN-31-AV-4574 at Rs.55,000/-(Rupees Fifty Five Thousand Only). The petitioner has now two choices. Either he has to pay the said amount and take return of the vehicle or he can file an application before the District Court Cuddalore, under the provision of the Act. It is for the petitioner to workout his remedy.
