This petition has been filed under Sections 222 and 276 of the Indian Succession Act and under Order XXV Rule 5 of O.S Rules, for the grant of
Probate in respect of the last Will and Testament of the deceased V.Gurumurthy.
- In the petition, it is stated that the deceased V.Gurumurthy ordinarily resided at No.12, Sriram Nagar 2nd Street, Vyasarpadi, Tondiarpet, Chennai600 039 and died on 01.01.2019 and left the property within the jurisdiction of this Court. The deceased executed his last Will and Testament on 10.09.2017 in the presence of two witnesses. The petitioner herein is the sole executor named in the Will. The first respondent is the wife and the second respondent is the son of the deceased. The mother of the testator predeceased him. The deceased bequeathed his immovable and movable properties to be taken by his sister in law's son, the petitioner herein, in a particular manner in the said Will.
