These miscellaneous petitions are filed to condone the delay of 1676 days in re-presenting the appeals.

The Writ Petitions filed by the respondents were allowed by the learned Single Judge by order dated 29 November 2013. The petitioners have filed appeals within the statutory period. The appeal papers were returned for compliance of certain defects pointed out by the Registry. The papers were not re-presented within the cut off

period.

The petitioners in the affidavit filed in support of the miscellaneous petitions submitted that after complying with the defects, the appeal papers were not re-presented within time and in

the said process, there is a delay of 1676 days.

There is absolutely no reason given by the petitioners for

condoning the delay in re-presenting the appeal papers. The reasons indicated in paragraph no.3 would not be sufficient to condone the exorbitant delay of 1676 days. We are therefore of the view that the miscellaneous petitions deserve to be dismissed.

In the upshot, we dismiss the miscellaneous petitions. No

costs. Consequently, W.A.Sr.Nos.69991, 69979, 69996, 69985 of 2014 are rejected.
