The writ petitioner herein, who applied for the post of Police Constable Grade II, though was found eligible otherwise was not given appointment due to the pendency of the criminal case, which came to light subsequently during the verification.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that the said criminal case ended in acquittal and the fact was brought to the notice of the respondents by letter dated 25.09.2017. But, till date, no order was passed by the respondents.

Additional Government Pleader represents that the representation of the petitioner is under active consideration and within a period of 15 days from today, orders will be passed in accordance with law.
