PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus directing the respondents 1, 3 and 4 to provide adequate police protection for the conduct of the Masi Festival for the year 2014 in the Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Temple, in Mettupatti Village, Valapadi Taluk, Salem District by its proper management and to take such precautionary steps to prevent violence and disturbance to law and order in the locality.
