PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the order dated 18.05.2009 vide Government Letter No.40507/Ve.Ni.4/2008 passed by the 1st respondent and communicated to the petitioner by the 4th respondent, to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground in the first respondent department based on his qualification in a suitable post on the death of his mother Jayamani who died on 30.04.1999.
