PW.17 -Palaniappan, who was working as Deputy Tahsildar, Omalur recorded the statement given by the first appellant/accused and the said statement was exhibited as Ex.P11. During the time of recording the statement, the Village Administrative Officer who was examined as PW.13 was also present. After recording the statement, the first appellant/accused was dragged on to Tharamangalam Police Station. PW.19-Palanisamy-Sub Inspector of Police, Tharamangalam Police Station received the complaint from one Seerangayiammal under CSR.No.63 of 2005. The said document was marked as Ex.P5. The said complaint was registered for the offence under section 'Man Missing'. The said FIR was marked as Ex.P16. Thereafter, he took the case for investigation and examined the witnesses and finally forwarded the FIR to PW.21-Renukadevi, Inspector of Police, Omalur, All Women's Police Station. On 29.01.2005 at about 02.15 hours, she received the case records in respect of the offence and recorded the confession statement of the accused in the presence of the witnesses. After recording the statement, Tahsildar, Omalur, gave requisition letter to Doctor, for conducting postmortem over the body of the deceased. Thereafter, she went to the scene of occurrence and prepared the observation mahazar Ex.P.2 and rough sketch Ex.P.19 in the presence of the witnesses respectively, she took photographs under Ex.P20 made video graphing of the scene of occurrence. During the course of her investigation she recorded the confession statement of the second accused.
