The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of writ of Certiorari to call for the records pertaining to the impugned notification, dated 18.02.2017 issued by the 4^th respondent and quash the same.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, a Memo has been filed on behalf of the respondents.

3.The contents of the Memo, dated 05.04.2017 are extracted below:-

“The above writ petition has been filed by the petitioner herein, challenging the notification issued by the 4^th respondent dated 18.02.2017 by which certain changes were effected n respect of appointment of examiners towards the conduct of practical examination. In this regard, having regard to the representations made by the teachers associations, the university had decided to restore the old procedure of the appointing examiners towards the conduct of practical examination as was practiced in the previous semesters. Therefore, the changes effected in respect of continuous internal assessment and conduct of external examination for practicals for UG/PG courses in respect of appointment of external examiner, introduced vide the impugned guidelines dated 18.02.2017 would not be implemented and the procedure that existed before the same would be followed.”

4.In view of the above said contents of the Memo, nothing survives for consideration in the writ petition and therefore, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above Memo, dated 05.04.2017. No cost. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
