The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondent to pass orders on the revision petition, dated 28.07.2016 preferred by the petitioner within a time frame.
2.Mr.S.Pon Senthil Kumaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's right was declared by the competent civil court, namely Sub Court, Kovilpatti, in A.S.No.27 of 2010. Thereafter, the petitioner has approached the District Collector to include his name in the patta No.127 and also sent a representation on 02.12.2013, however, the Thasildar, Vilathikulam, rejected the representation of the petitioner, by order, dated 17.01.2014.
3.The learned counsel would further submit that aggrieved by the order of the Tasildhar, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, which was also dismissed and thereafter, the petitioner has filed a revision petition https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ before the respondent, dated 28.07.2016. Since, there is no progress, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Mr.D.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the respondent has fixed the enquiry on 03.07.2017 and it will be disposed of at the earliest.
5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition and also considering the submissions made on either side, without going into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the revision petition of the petitioner, dated 28.07.2016 purely on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the necessary parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order copy. No costs.
