When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the first respondent submitted that the writ petition was filed seeking a direction for consideration of the writ petitioner for admission in the Academic Year 2016-17 by considering the rank secured by him in KVPY examination and obtained the interim order, as against which the present writ appeal has been filed by the appellants, however, pending the appeal, the writ petitioner has been selected through the State and Central Board channel and hence, he submitted that the writ petition has become infructuous.
