The revision petitioner has filed the divorce petition in HMOP No.1343 of 2014 before the I Additional Family Court, Chennai.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent filed an Interlocutory Application in I.A No. 285 of 2015 claiming interim maintenance and the same was allowed, directing the revision petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.40,000/- per month as maintenance. According to the petitioner, the respondent is wantonly dragging on the proceedings, without filing the counter affidavit, before the court below and therefore

has filed the present revision petition, for the aforesaid prayer.

Considering the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the fact that the petition is pending from the year 2014, this Court is inclined to direct the First Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the petition in HMOP No.1343 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible.
