2.The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to release the Tipper Lorry bearing Registration No.TN-22-K-9904, seized by the Deputy Director of Mines, Kancheepuram, Kancheepuram District on 20.10.2016 to him.

3.Though the petitioner seeks for a positive direction, it is seen that the petitioner's representation for release of vehicle dated 21.10.2016, is pending with the respondent. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction. However, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's
