The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying for issuance of a Mandamus to direct the respondents to print the petitioner's family name as Ulagapuram Munsif Maniyam Thirumalai Gounder family for conducting Kalmandapam Kattalai Pooja in the invitations during the Car festival to be conducted by the respondents from 16.01.2016 to 30.01.2016 by receiving
the prescribed fee for conducting poojas during the festival of Thaipoosam, Panguni Ther and Soorasamharam and the pooja materials to be brought only from the house of the Gurukkal by disposing the written representation made by the petitioner on 15.06.2015.
18.01.2016 to 30.01.2016 no longer survives for consideration by this Court as the said period had lapsed. As regards the other limb of the prayer, this Court cannot conduct a roving enquiry as to whether the petitioner is entitled to the same or not. However, as the representation dated 15.06.2015 of the petitioner is pending with the second respondent, without expressing any opinion on merits, it would be suffice to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 15.06.2015 of the petitioner and to pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law.
