When the matter is heard today, Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader who accepted notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Counsel who accepted notice on behalf of the second respondent, would bring to our notice that with effect from 01.04.2016, the collection of parking fee is undertaken departmentally by deploying the staff of the Municipality and the work is not entrusted to any contractor. However, the petitioner would continue to complain that excess fare is collected indiscriminately. To avoid any further possible criticism, the Municipal Commissioner of Sankarankoil

Municipality, is directed to exhibit at all those prominent places where parking facilities are provided, the fee that is liable to be collected. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
