This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to give promotion to him forthwith for the post of Elementary School Headmaster as per his rank in the Promotional Panel for 2014-2015.

The case of the petitioner is that he has been placed at Rank No.5 in the panel for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmasters for the year 2014-2015, that two other persons, namely, Alaghuraja and Karpagam, who were at Rank Nos.1 and 2 have already been granted promotion and that one Ramesh and Vasanthi are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ in the 3rd and 4th place. The said Ramesh has obtained an order from this Court in W.P.(MD) No.5127 of 2015 and that Vasanthi has

declined to take up the promotion. Since the petitioner is the next person in the panel for promotion as per the seniority, his case should be considered for promotion and he should be promoted as Elementary School Headmaster.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is stated by the

petitioner that the panel is getting expired on 01.06.2015 and therefore, it is prayed that the case of the petitioner may be considered, in case there are no legal impediments.

It is represented by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the case of the petitioner will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

Hence, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmaster as per the rank in the promotion panel for the year 2014-2015 and suitable orders be passed on merits and as per law on or before 31.05.2015 in case there are no legal impediments.
