Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the revision petition filed by the petitioner before the respondent dated 26.08.2012 within a reasonable time.

The petitioner was dismissed from service by the District Collector vide order dated 01.02.2012. The said order was confirmed by the Director of Town Panchayat, Chennai. The petitioner, without filing a review petition before the Government, filed a writ petition in W.P.No.20350 of 2012. This Court, having found that the petitioner has got a right of filing a review petition before the Government, dismissed the writ petition, giving him liberty. The petitioner, pursuant to the liberty granted by this Court, by order dated 31.07.2012 in W.P.No.20350 of 2012, filed a review petition before the Government. The present request is to consider and pass orders on the said review petition as expeditiously as possible.
