Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the first repondent to demolish all the construction illegally carried out on the burial ground and on the Idgah (prayer ground) comprised in the Wallajah Big Mosque complex, Old No.314, Triplicane High Road, Chennai 600 005 and take immediate suitable action as contemplated under the Waqf Act 1995 for removal of encroachment carried out by their men, agent and other persons and take suitable action against the second respondent who being a public servant has failed in his lawful duty to prevent or remove an encroachment.
