Though the matter is not listed today, at the request of both parties the matter is taken up today for settlement.

The learned counsel for the revision petitioner Ms.H.Yasmeen Ali and Mr.M.Mushtaq Ahmed, learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:-

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT

Both the parties are present and the award is passed in terms of the compromise memo filed today. The said memo is made a part and parcel of the award.

It is agreed by both the parties to settle the dispute for a sum of Rs.4,50,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) shall be paid to the wife. Out of which an amount of Rs.4,00,000/has already been paid, and the balance of Rs.50,000/- remains.

Clause 2(c) of the memo of compromise reads that the petitioner i.e., the husband has deposited a sum of Rs.50,000/- on 26.07.2013 in C.C.No.4716 of 2010 before the X Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai.

In view of the compromise the wife Mrs.S.G.Bushra Begum is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ entitled to receive the deposited amount of Rs.50,000/-. The X

Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai is directed to issue cheque in favour of the wife Mrs.S.G.Bushra Begum on production of the copy of the award without filing any formal petition.

The Criminal Revision is disposed of accordingly.
