This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the the respondents No.2 and 3 to accord necessary police protection for enabling the members of the petitioner's Society namely A.Puthupatti Fishermen Cooperative Society so as enable them to have their free operation of catching fishes inkanakkankulam Kanmai, Udayarkudikulam Kanmai, Chinna Udayarkudikulam Kanmai situated at Kidaripatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions would submit that the period for which the police protection has been sought for is already over. It is also submitted that the lease period is already over.

4.Considering the same, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
