Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 04.03.2014, 15.07.2014, 31.07.2014 and 01.09.2014 requesting for the issuance of Kondareddyis (ST) community certificate to the petitioner's son V.P.Umapathy and his grandsons D.Yokesh and D.Sivakumar based upon the community certificate obtained by the petitioner and his family members.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties concerned.

At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.07.2014, within a time frame specified by this Court. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent has no objection for this court passing such an order.

In such circumstances, we find it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.07.2014, if it is otherwise in order, and dispose of the same, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall furnish a copy of the representation, dated 31.07.2014, to the respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
