Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution
of India praying for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus
calling for the records relating to the selection of
Professors/Assistant Professors following advertisement therefor by
IIT, Madras from the second respondent and quashing the selection
list so made and directing them to hold a fresh selection following
the constitutional amendment incorporating Mandal Commission
recommendation relating to OBC.

The writ petitioner through this Public Interest Litigation, seeks to assail certain selection made for Professor/Assistant Professors on the ground that the principle of reservation for OBC has not been followed. No affected party has been impleaded.
