Shanmugam before this Hon'ble Court and set at liberty the detenu J.
Ananth @ Anand now detained in the Central Prison, Trichy under
Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling
Activities Act (COFEPOSA).

This habeas corpus petition is filed challenging the order of detention passed by the first respondent against the detenu – Mr.J.Ananth @ Anand in F.No.673/21/2013-Cus.VIII, dated 04.10.2013.

Heard Mr. Velayutham Pichaiya, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

The learned Standing Counsel submits that the order of detention passed against the detenu - Mr.J.Ananth @ Anand, is revoked by the first respondent/Central Government in F.No.673/21/2013Cus.VIII, dated 21.12.2013. A copy of the said Central Government Order has also been produced before us. The same has been endorsed by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner.

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition is closed
by recording the above Central Government Order.
