PRAYER:- Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2013 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame as stipulated by this Hon`ble Court forthwith.

This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a limited prayer to direct the second respondent/the District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli District to consider his representation, dated 25.03.2013 on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

The claim of the petitioner is that the property bearing ayan punja Survey No.377/2B1C1A3, 377/2B1D and 377/12B1 having an extent of 0.24 cent belonging to his father, namely, Sankarasubbu Muthaliyar was transferred to his father by means of a document dated 01.02.1964 bearing Document No.259/1964 by a valid sale entered into between his father and one Mahammed Divan Shahid. After the death of his father, the petitioner and his brothers inherited the same and thereafter, a partition took place and the same was registered in the office of the Sub-Registrar, Ambasamudram and the said partition deed has been assigned with Document No.614/1985. In the meanwhile, when the UDR scheme took place, an error crept out in the revenue records. Resultantly, the petitioner's property belongs to Jamia Mosque and after noticing the same, the petitioner has

given a representation to the second respondent. But the said representation was not considered by the second respondent, the petitioner has come before this Court.

As the petitioner's representation is pending for a long time, this Court directs the second respondent/the District Revenue Officer to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.03.2013 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the same within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
